How things work


Living Room


  • Heater - A Gas heater is located next to the main bedroom door, feel free to use this when the temperatures get cold. Also please remember to switch off the heater when you leave or go to sleep.
  • Smart TV - The Tv will be connected to the wifi prior to arrival. Netflix is included in your stay, make yourself at home with a lovely movie. You are welcome to sign into any other personal streaming accounts and sign out on departure.
  • Extra Blankets - In the baskets beneath the large window is extra throw blankets.
  • Fireplace - If you need firewood you can find wood at the local store next to the petrol station or most of the local braai or grocery stores.


Kitchen


  • Appliances - A kettle, nespresso machine, and microwave will be on the counter, the toaster is in the small cupboard next to the dishwasher.
  • Fridge - inside the fridge you will find water & milk. Please use the fridge for food storage like you please. On departure please throw out anything that you don't want to take along.
  • Bin - the garbage bin is located beneath the sink and an extra garbage bin is located in the laundry next to the washing machine.
  • Stove - the stove top is gas, turn and hold the knob until the flame stays on. The oven is electric and turn the knobs to your desired heat. Pots and pans are located on the left of the oven. If the oven doesn't turn on press the lower button with the three stripes until you see a light come on.
  • Cutlery - Inside the cupboards and drawers you will find all the basics, if you need anything extra, please let us know.
  • Dishwasher - For everything you need to use the dishwasher please look in the cupboard beneath the sink next to extra cleaning supplies. The dishwasher knob is set, just press start. For half full loads press the button with the half symbol and then press start.
  • Nespresso Machine. Complimentary pods are in the glass jar next to the machine. To use the machine press one of the buttons on top of the machine, the lights will flicker while the machine heats up. Insert one of the pods into the pod insertion space on top and press the small cup button for espressos or the larger cup for a fuller cup. If you like milk with your coffee, place milk inside the milk holder, and press the button on the far end with the cup with foam. Please clean the milk holder after each use or it will not work for another use.   • Please turn off all appliances when you depart.
  • Amenities - Please feel free to use the supplied coffee, tea, sugar, milk & rusks.


Patio


  • Braai Boma - In the middle of the porch you will see the concrete fire pit. Please feel free to use the boma. On the left side of the porch next to the gas braaier you will find all the fittings to use the boma as a braaier or hang a potjie.
  • Gas bbq - On the left side of the porch is a gas braaier if you need any extra instructions please contact us. Please remember to turn off the braaier after use.
  • Blankets - Please feel free to use any of the blankets provided in the basket under the window.

Bedroom 1


Main bedroom located next to the bathroom and living room.

  • Bed - The bedroom has a queen bed with an electric blanket. Please keep in mind that Clarens still needs to reserve electricity where possible, please switch off the electric blankets as soon as you get up in the morning.
  • Linen - If you need to change the linen please contact us if you need extra cleaning service during your stay.
  • Dressing Table - The dressing table has a hair dryer & mirror.
  • Heater - In the closet you will find a small heater. Feel free to use the heater during cold nights, but please switch it off if you leave the house.


Bedroom 2

Located next to the entrance on the left.

  • Bed - The bedroom has a double bed with an electric blanket. Please keep in mind that Clarens still needs to reserve electricity where possible, please switch off the electric blankets as soon as you get up in the morning.
  • Linen - If you need to change the linen please contact us if you need extra cleaning service during your stay.
  • Dressing Table - The dressing table has a hair dryer & mirror.
  • Heater - On the bottom shelf you will find a small heater. Feel free to use the heater during cold nights, but please switch it off if you leave the house.

Bedroom 3

Located next to the kitchen. This bedroom is our smaller bedroom.


  • Bed - The bedroom has a double bed with an electric blanket. Please keep in mind that Clarens still needs to reserve electricity where possible, please switch off the electric blankets as soon as you get up in the morning.
  • Linen - If you need to change the linen please contact us if you need extra cleaning service during your stay.
  • Heater - In the closet you will find a small heater. Feel free to use the heater during cold nights, but please switch it off if you leave the house.

Extra Bedroom


At the back of the house through the laundry you will find an extra small bedroom with a 3/4 bed and ensuite bathroom with a shower.


Courtyard


You are welcome to use the courtyard for an extra dining area during rainy season.

Laundry


  • Washing Machine - Guests are welcome to make use of the washing machine. For detergent look in the small cupboard on the top of the counter.
  • Tumble dryer - Guests can use the tumble dryer, press the "on" button, turn the knob to the desired amount of time and wait for your clothes to dry.
  • Cleaning/washing - If you need extra cleaning services, please arrange directly with us in advance.
